The Mighty KMG (Kale, Mushrooms, and Garlic)
A quick dry-sauteed preparation of tender kale, button mushrooms, and minced or chopped garlic. I typically make it with frozen kale, frozen sliced mushrooms, and jarred garlic so I can have it at any time on a moment's notice, but it's equally as good with fresh ingredients.

Servings 1 hearty serving
- 2 handfuls kale, chopped (I use frozen)
- 2 handfuls sliced button mushrooms (I use frozen)
- 1 scoop jarred garlic, minced or chopped (to your preference, about 2-3 tsp)
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Add kale to one side and mushrooms to the other—this is just how I do it so I can stir kale slightly more up front.
Cook for a couple of minutes then add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally for another 1-2 minutes until kale is more tender, mushrooms & garlic are lightly cooked, and juices in the pan have evaporated.
Tastes great fresh and as leftovers.
