Two hot, plant-based bowls of congee with Sichuan pepper & lemon peel soy curls, scallions, and a dollop of Sambal Oelek 💚

The photos look very similar, but the first was taken mid-late morning and the second was taken early afternoon. I just love everything about congee - it's so pretty, it's warming, it's light but satisfying, it's easy to digest, it's adaptable, and it leaves me energized! 🦸

I recorded some little video clips while making it, I plan to put together a short video on making congee at some point.
